well, its been a good day. olive successfully spit up on four outfits and peed through two. she also gave me about a dozen wide-mouthed gummy smiles (whether or not she realized it) brandon and i are having a blast with her, and yes, we do still get some things done around here, we don't just stare at her all day. thanks to my wonderful husband, i have even had a chance to paint some, and do a little reading. last week during brandon's spring break we had some friends visit from indianapolis. they have an 8 month old. it was fun to watch her and look forward to how much olive will grow and become more responsive and even more fun! and believe me, she is growing. i think her cheeks are going to take over her face pretty soon. i will no longer be posting her wieght, however, because frankly, it's just not ladylike.

community

It is funny how there are times in our lives when we don't think that we need community.  We start to think that we can do just fine on our own and that we don't necessarily need a strong community around us.  Then when we come to a time of crisis we soon realize how badly we need and are made to be in community with others.  Jessica and I have appreciated our communities so much over the past year and a half.  We have enjoyed their listening hears, wise counsel, prayers, and people to have fun with.  Since we have had our baby Olive we have really enjoyed people in our communties coming around and spending time with us.  It has been great and again reminded us just how important community is to us.

This I do recommend

This is a great movie about Martin Luther King and the bus strikes.  This movie was made by HBO and I don't think ever shown in the theatre.  I am not sure if you can rent this but if you can get a hold of a copy of this I highly recommend this movie.

good movie but not a reccomendation

Jessica and I watched this movie last night.  We both enjoyed it very much.  Although we enjoyed it we are slow to recommend movies because we like unusual artsy movies.  When we have recommended this type of movie in the past to friends and we found out that it almost ruined friendships.  Just Kidding but if you are in the mood for a different but good movie this is one of those.  If you see it and hate it please forget who told you about it but if you like it remember who recommended it to you.
